In short, "We have a ghost" is a story of "Earnest" the ghost stuck in a house.

"We have a ghost" defies the cynicism of horror genre. The movie doesn't elevates horror but makes it fun to watch. It's based on a short story called "Earnest" by Geoff Manaugh.

Frank played by Anthony Mackie who struggles to meet daily needs and a healthy relationship with family members. Frank purchases an old haunted house. Earnest tries to scare Kevin, one of the family members, who shoots the video of him. Story further revolves around Earnest played by David Harbour, and Kevin who tries to help Earnest in getting his memory back. Thinking that Earnest might be able to go on the other side if his story is at peace. Kevin makes a video of Frank. The same video gets posted on Youtube which made "Earnest" overnight sensation. It's interesting to watch Frank try to use Ernest's existence by posting video online and movie does show social media platforms and how it drive event now-a-days.

The adventure starts when Kevin, Joy (played by Isabella Russo) takes Earnest, and leave for Earnest's old friend house. Which is interrped by further government engagement in the movie. Then we come to know "How Earnest was killed" and became a ghost. This whole journey through the fans and Kevin's zeal to help Earnest sets redemption to not only "Earnie the ghost" but his father Frank as well.  

Screenplay does make it a hearthwarming, funny, a good ghost story that you can enjoy with your family.
