Farzi sets the scene for rise of a villain who also is hero of the story. In line with Raj & D.K's presentation of universe.

Main Cast: Vijay Sethupathi, Shahid Kapoor, Amol Palekar, Kay Kay Menon

Supporting: Bhuvan Arora, Raashii Khanna, Zakir Hussain, Jaswant Singh Dalal, Chittranjan Giri

Director/Creator:  Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru

Studios & Streaming on : Amazon Prime Video.

Language: Hindi, Odia, Tamil, Bengoli etc with subtitles in English as well.

Episode: 8 Episodes (Artist, Social Service, CCFART, Shanrakshak, Second Oldest Profession, Cat and Mouse, Supernote, Crash and Burn)

Genre : Suspense, Drama

Played through a tough childhood, villain/hero of the story starts his carrer with selling arts. A routine metro life. A situation arises where he wanted to do something for his Nannu who raised him and his friend. Instead of selling arts he uses his talent to print fake notes that are pretty close to original new notes available in the market. Episodes takes scenic route with further involvement of deadly internaltional notes dealers and CCFART (a government based setup for counterfeiting ). How the villian/hero survives and further takes the revenge.

Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru showcases humane ethics of an antagonist. It's basically a journey of a child with tough childhood, rolled under compassion and further builds a character that talks to audience.

Set in the theme of counterfeiting or "jaali-note-ka-dhandha", the old Bollywood theme. Farzi: a suspense drama, also Shahid Kapoor OTT debut will not make you expert in validating fake notes.

Farzi demonstrates how a fake note industry carries it's operation. Alongwith usage of paper, effort of an artist to create the design, printing, and distribution. How dangerous the job is. Shahid Kapoor as Sunny showcased as an artist who can create a copy of almost anything. Amol Palekar as Nannu of runs a revolutionary printing press that publishes Kranti Patrika. Sunny and his childhood friend Firoz (played by Bhuvan Arora) starts fake note business and try to change life situations around. Events lead to clash between them and international fake notes dealers. Mansoor Dalaal played by Kay Kay Menon is a counterfeiter King and an international dealer.

Head of law enforcement unit is headed by Michael Vednayagam ( played by Vijay Sethupathi ). His broken life, jokes cracking and acting gives a boost to the series. Michael shows and stays focused on international counterfeiter King. A new hired, enthusiastic part is played by Raashii Khanna. She helps to create "Dhanrakshak" to filter fake notes and follows the trail of local antagonist (Shahid Kapoor). Rest plot further made better and fun by government MLA presentation, atleast in this one. Supporting actors did great.

All in all Farzi is an amazing series excluding all the cussing that goes around. Let's hope the other part of the series comes soon and we get to see Vijay Sethupathi and  Shahid Kapoor more in action.
