Stress is one of the common problems related to health. In long term, its consequences may be unbearable. Long-term stress can lead to ailments like obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and depression. For lowering the risk of these diseases, stress must be prevented and managed well.


Symptoms of stress


The symptoms of stress may be emotional or physical.


Emotional symptoms:



Ø  You are always worried about every situation. Worrying continuously leads an imbalance in the functioning of the glands and stresses them to function abnormally.

Ø  You will always feel angry and frustrated.

Ø  You will be lacking in sleep or sleeping continuously as per the instruction of your stressed brain.

Ø  You will be dealing with upset stomach

Ø  Because of the stress eating habits always changes. Either you will eat continuously or you will stop eating. This may lead to weight gain or loss

Ø  Tense muscles

Stress can also lead to a weakened immune system (the system in the body that fights infections), which could make you more likely to get sick.

 

How we can prevent stress?


Stress is like an enemy to you which is waiting all the times to attack you. Once you give a hint of weakness to stress it is there to enter you. You can prevent or reduce stress by using the following methods:

Ø  If you have some work coming your way whether it is related to your work, travel or examination then you must have to plan ahead

Ø  Make a list of the tasks that you have to do and then arrange sequentially which task you want to do first and afterwards.

Even after efforts some stress is hard to avoid. But still, you can find ways how to manage stress. The following methods can be supportive to help you to manage the stress.

Ø  You should be well aware of your situation physically and mentally. This you can do by noticing that you are felling stress or not.

Ø  When you feel disturbed or frustrated you need to take a proper time break and relax well.

Ø  Better nutrition can help you to cope with the stress. You must be eating actively and healthy.

Ø  Life is always going to propose questions to you. These are like the life situations that seems like the problems without the solution. Instead of getting dejected by them you mind fin the solutions to them. No problem is bigger than the willpower and faith of an individual. Finding solutions to problems you’re having

Ø  When you start generating a sense of loneliness in you start interacting with your family and friends.  They may be supportive to you. If you get positive support from them then you will cope stress efficiently.


How to deal with stress like a pro?


You can’t always avoid stress, but you can take steps to If you wanted to deal with stress in a positive way, you should take the following stress. Follow these steps for preventing and managing stress.

 

·       Being prepared and feeling in control of your situation might help lower your stress.

·       Plan your time: Think ahead about how you're going to use your time. Write a to-do list and figure out what’s most important — then do that thing first. Be realistic about how long each task will take.

·       Prepare yourself: Prepare ahead for stressful events like a hard conversation with a loved one. You can:

·       Relax: Relax with deep breathing or meditation. Deep breathing and meditation can help relax your muscles and clear your mind.

·       Relax your muscles: Stress causes tension in your muscles. Try stretching or taking a hot shower to help you relax.

·        Be an active person: Regular physical activity can help prevent and manage stress. It can also help relax your muscles and improve your mood.
